Launching our Youth Committee
We are delighted to announce that following a successful funding application, we have launched our Youth Committee. The concept allows us to give a selected number of players (7) to participate as members, and act as a voice for their fellow players, support club events, vote on decisions and help shape the future of the Club!
What is the Youth Committee?
The Youth Committee is formed of 7 motivated players who are proud to be a part of Ditton Minors FC and represent our Club at the highest level. They participate in regular Youth Committee meetings throughout the year, meeting with various Club Officers, where they voice their opinion, and that of fellow players, generate and contribute fresh ideas and provide feedback on what's working and what isn't across the Club.
Not only do they participate in these meetings, but they support the Club at events including the tournament, presentation and our fundraising events - and encourage their fellow players to attend and participate. They also share the vision of the Club, and most importantly, promote a positive culture amongst our players that are proud to be part of the Club.
What are the benefits?
Naturally, we have to recognise the significant contributions made by members of our Youth Committee. Therefore, members of the Youth Committee (minimum 2 year commitment) benefit from:
- A Youth Committee Kit which is worn to Club Meetings and Events
- Enrolment as a Volunteer with Kent FA and benefit from Volunteer Rewards
- A Club Plaque recognising their contributions as a Youth Committee member
- Support from the Club with an opportunity to use us as a reference and access to volunteering experience and learning new leadership skills
We are delighted that following the publication of our request for members, we received lots more than we had anticipated!
Our Youth Committee members are:
